Mark Bruner has been a favorite of music aficionados since 1982 when he and his guitar arrived in Tulsa. He plays rock n’ roll, country, Americana, blues, and jazz.
The Oklahoma Legislature awarded him a Citation of Recognition, and he won the Tulsa State Fair Fingerstyle State Guitar Championship at least a dozen times. He has been THE entertainment at The Polo Grill in Utica Square for more than 12 years.
Solo guitar has given him a big canvas for musical self-expression and artistic freedom. His guitar style has a very high degree of difficulty because it involves three essential things: melody, rhythm, and bass all at the same time, and it’s extremely challenging. Like the ultimate rub your tummy and pat your head. It takes hours of practice, hours and hours of preparation.
This Pay-It-Forward Concert begins at noon in the Dining Room.
Donations at the door will pay for future concerts. They are the only source of funding for the series. Food will not be served. If you bring a sack lunch, please be in place by 11:50 am.
